What does the Spring Budget mean for your pension?
On Wednesday 15th March, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt delivered his Spring Budget, which included the biggest shake-up in the taxation of pensions for over a decade. The Lifetime Allowance is being abolished altogether and the Annual Allowance is being increased by 50%.

Since 6 October 2020 the age that you can collect your State Pension has been age 66 for men and women.

A new normal minimum pension age
In 2014, following the consultation on ‘Freedom and Choice in Pensions’, the Government announced it would increase the NMPA to from 55 to 57 in 2028 to coincide with the rise of State Pension age increase from 65 to 67.
